Engagements // The Proposal

Bryson and Julie met  in a Communication class over a year ago. They were friends at first, then Julie tried to set Bryson up with one of her roommates. Meanwhile, Bryson was more interested in dating Julie rather than getting to know her roommate. Eventually, the two began dating and one thing led to another….

Bryson decided to pop the big question.

Where better to do it then in the very classroom where they met?

I was so happy when Bryson asked me to be his secret photographer for the proposal moment! It was so much fun! He transformed that classroom and it looked so romantic! :)

I hid behind the podium in the classroom and waited for them to come in…Julie didn’t know what Bryson was planning. What a beautiful surprise! And of course it worked out for him…she said yes!

He asked her to marry him. She said yes. They kissed. They danced.

Normally I’m not a part of moments like that with my friends…so it was so fun for me. They even made me cry! Can you just picture me hiding in a corner with my camera and crying about how sweet this moment was? haha I’m such a sucker for love!

Procedure: The room was pretty dark…just candle lit (no complaints here!) And a tiny bit of window light coming from the left wall in the classroom. So, I primarily used my 50mm 1.8 lens and had to bump up the ISO a little to capture the light. Other than that, I did only minor edits in photoshop.
