In my last post I had some of the wildlife photos that I took on our Yellowstone trip, but I definitely enjoyed landscape photography just as much as the animals while we were there! The geysers were incredible! And the sulfur pools were seriously so beautiful. I think some of them really turned into beautiful fine art photos. I spent our whole trip just in awe of what I was seeing. The earth is so interesting. These hot springs fascinated me. Yellowstone is covered in these geothermal areas. There are several geyser basins…and just tons to see! It seems like everywhere you go, there is steam coming from the ground. (as you can see in my photos below)
Very little editing was done to these photos, Yellowstone was just built to be beautiful….so that’s how the photos naturally come out :) I love the photos during sunset because it brought out more color in the water and just made everything look dramatic.
I believe this is the “Abyss Pool” that it is located in the West Thumb Geyser Basin. This was my favorite one I think! The colors were so vibrant and the water is clear enough that you can see everything underneath.
The next two photos were taken at Mammoth hot springs. This was on the lookout above the mammoth springs.
Casey! These are beautiful! It actually reminded me that I have pictures of Yellowstone I need to edit! So thanks! Haha! I love the colors and how natural it looks! The last one on this post is my favorite.
Casey these are so gorgeous! Like Megan said, I love how naturally these are all edited. You let the nature do the work of giving you stunning photographs! The colors are amazing and the composition is beautiful. Great work!
Casey! These are so amazing!! You really captured how parts of Yellowstone look like it’s another planet! I love the composition and how much detail is in each shot, great job Casey!!
Holy cow! These are the most stunning student photographs I’ve seen from Yellowstone. I’m really impressed!
