These fresh fruits and vegetables are my favorite. I really love all food and product photography, but I think fresh produce is my favorite! Maybe that’s because they are some of my favorite foods to eat…I don’t know. Either way, I love it! I feel like the colors are always so vibrant with fresh produce. Hardly any editing is needed and they just look amazing!
All of these photos were shot using natural light. The pomegranate below is an HDR. It is a very subtle HDR…but that’s what I like about it. I didn’t want the HDR to make the pomegranate look like anything it is not. Instead, it just allowed me to bring out all of the detail that I could see with my eye and I love how it turned out. In fact, I have kind of an infatuation with pomegranates. haha “Pomegranate” in Spanish is “Granada” and in Spain there is a province and an entire city named Granada. Maybe you’ve heard of the Alhambra? That is in Granada! Anyway, I spent three months there last summer. I fell in love with that city! All over the place they have pomegranates carved and detailed into the city. They have pomegranates on the statues, laid into the cobblestones on the roads and sidewalks, everything you can think of. So, pomegranates bring good memories for me.
I hope you enjoy these fresh photos…because I sure enjoyed making them!
